For nearly 60 years, the nonprofit, nonpartisan American Academy of Actuaries has served the public and the U.S. actuarial profession by contributing actuaries’ unique professional skills and disciplinary approach to financial security systems to important public policy dialogues.
This Issues Clearinghouse offers an entry point to Academy resources on a number of national and state issues that are top-of-mind during the 2024 campaign season for many candidates, voters, legislators and regulators, and the business community: health care, retirement security, climate change, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and risk management. The information aims to provide a better, actuarially informed understanding of the issues that ultimately may help lead to better policy solutions.
