After exchanging pleasantries and talking about our families, the conversation turned toward what we do for a living. He works for the defense industry, and I shared that I work in public policy. Even though unplanned, from that point forward the conversation rapidly escalated into a duel of who knew or could use more acronyms.

It also serves as an opportunity to provide resources and information to support the more than one in five U.S. adults who have experienced mental health illness, according to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI).
